Grammy-winning American songwriter and arranger, composer/ singer JIMMY WEBB announces his new album “SlipCover” available on May 17. “SlipCover” pays tribute to ten of Webb’s friends and fellow members of the pop pantheon and like Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and others.
The first track, a cover of Billy Joel’s “Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)” is available today.
Jimmy Webb is best known for his numerous platinum-selling songs including “Up, Up and Away,” “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” “Wichita Lineman,” “Galveston,” “The Worst That Could Happen”, “All I Know” and “MacArthur Park.” He has had successful collaborations with Glen Campbell, Michael Feinstein, Linda Ronstadt, The 5th Dimension, Art Garfunkel, and Richard Harris and Frank Sinatra, among others. This is Webb’s first instrumental album and his first new album in five years.
