(Los Angeles – March 14) – Emmy Award-winner and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Andy Grammer has announced The Friends & Family Sessions EP. The stripped-down project, out April 25 via S-Curve, reimagines six songs from the artist’s 2024 album, Monster, along with three major hits from his back catalog: “Don’t Give Up On Me,” “Honey, I’m Good,” and the viral sensation “Fresh Eyes.”

In addition, Grammer has previewed the EP with two major fan favorites: the twangy and anthemic “Save a Spot in the Back for Me” and the smash singalong “Fresh Eyes” (which surpassed over 1 billion TikTok views in February alone).

With The Friends and Family Sessions, Grammer expanded on the fruitful sonic direction of Monster, using acoustic instrumentation to highlight the raw power of songs, which land somewhere between indie-pop, soul, and Americana. 

“This Monster record was really anchored around the mandolin and the balance of pop sounds,” Grammer says. “Something about that mixture felt fresh and opened a new door for me songwriting-wise. Stripping it all back for this acoustic version let me dive even deeper into the heart of these songs — letting the lyrics, melodies, and raw emotion stand even more on their own.” 

Grammer, who staged his solo tour Greater Than: A One Man Show in October 2024, recently launched a full-band run in late February and announced a one-night-only performance in the UK in May. For more details and tickets, visit andygrammer.com. 

The acclaimed Monster, Grammer’s fifth full-length, has become a massive success, selling over 360K album units and earning 800 million streams. He celebrated the project in November by releasing a deluxe edition featuring 16 additional tracks, including three previously unreleased cuts with special guests like Trombone Shorty, Galactic, and his wife, Aijia Grammer.  

Grammer recently partnered with Crayola for the “Campaign for Creativity” project, which amplifies the importance of childhood creativity in helping kids reach their full potential. On his behalf, Crayola donated a palette of products to PS 22 in Staten Island, which is renowned for their live children’s chorus performances with artists like Carrie Underwood, Charlie Puth, and AJR, in addition to Grammer. In 2024, the songwriter also partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. He’s also been recognized by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (“Defender of Potential” award) and Claire’s Place Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis Support (“Clarity Impact” award).
